National Center on Elder Abuse
Use our FREE and ready-to-use materials to engage and educate your community about the role everyone can play in preventing elder abuse. The STEAP Initiative was launched by the National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA), in partnership with USAging, in an effort to educate and empower communities to create a sturdy structure of support to notice, report, and prevent abuse. The centerpiece of this Initiative is a toolkit with practical and customizable (PDF | 764 KB) elder abuse education and outreach resources, including:
Customize these tools by adding your logo, contact information, and local elder abuse reporting numbers (view instructions (PDF | 764 KB))!
Through this Initiative, NCEA and USAging will make a concerted effort to connect with agencies and programs at the local level, while strengthening connections with states, to expand public awareness on this multi-faceted issue. The STEAP Initiative Toolkit has been designed to be updated and improved as information, resources, and requests for those expand. NCEA welcomes feedback and suggestions on resources which could be included. Contact Us and let us know what we can do for you.
